For future reference, Google Maps is pretty good at giving detailed directions for getting from point A to Point B by public transportation. They even tell you how to get to the bus stop, what is the destination of the bus, and how many stops are before yours.
By default they assume you're leaving right away, and give you the best route for the day and time you're traveling. If you're not leaving immediately, you can specify a day and time. It's important to have the right day of the week and time of day, but the actual date can't be specified if it's far in the future.

bvlenci - In the past, I've found google is often wrong or not up to date on public transport. Perhaps they've improved somewhat.
