Rome question

We are currently in Rome. We are close to the metro stop conca d'ora. We want to go to st. Paul's outside the walls. Need advice for the best way to get there. Thanks.

I think you can just take the Metro and get off at the Basilica di San Paolo stop. Hopefully, someone else will chime in and verify this.

Board the metro in direction of Laurentina and go out at the 12th stop (after Garbatella).

Thanks. Initially we didn't see that the metro went that far. Appreciate the answers.

For future reference, Google Maps is pretty good at giving detailed directions for getting from point A to Point B by public transportation. They even tell you how to get to the bus stop, what is the destination of the bus, and how many stops are before yours.

By default they assume you're leaving right away, and give you the best route for the day and time you're traveling. If you're not leaving immediately, you can specify a day and time. It's important to have the right day of the week and time of day, but the actual date can't be specified if it's far in the future.

The Rome transport website.

bvlenci - In the past, I've found google is often wrong or not up to date on public transport. Perhaps they've improved somewhat.
