            NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY: 31 DECEMBER

            Historic centre: The city in flight. Apparitions and Disappearances in the sky above Rome. A big street party organised by the Valerio Festi studio will put on various magical performances in three squares in the city centre between 22:30 and 01:30. These performances will be moving, entertaining and astonishing, and inspired by three different and timeless fairytales. The 130 artists performing in the shows come from Italy, France, Russia, Spain and Bulgaria.

            In Piazza Augusto Imperatore dancers will fly to music recounting the dramatic prodigy of the transformation with the magician Kelley and Rabbi Low and will culminate in the hosting of a surreal and scintillating parade inspired by the famous film Roman Holidays; in Piazza San Silvestro there will be a show involving tango dancing, flying dancers and fireworks; Peter Pan will be in Piazza del Popolo with acrobats, video screenings, sirens, baroque torches and flying vessels.

            At 01:30 a solemn parade of street cleaners will make a triumphant entrance into the squares accompanied by flashing and playing sirens and will clean up the last remnants of the year that has just passed. This unusual parade will form an integral part of the show.

            A non-stop procession of protagonists from the alternative Italian music scene, among which Caparezza, Blu Vertigo, Torpedo, Sud Sound System and Assalti Frontali, with forays into comedy thanks to duo 'Scontrino alla cassa'. Free entrance. From 21:00 until 02:00 at the Campus in Via Lamaro in the Cinecittà Studios. Free admittance.

            From 22:00 to 08:00 in the morning: AMORE 05 (LOVE 05) An end of year event for all the citizens of the capital, AMORE 05 is the biggest dance party in Italy: 5 pavilions and a massive 15,000sqm disco for only 30 euro. About 30 djs with dancers and other performers will keep the crowds entertained, various musical genres including live music, dj sets and video screenings, numerous bars and food stalls with various areas where to sit down, talk and listen to softer sounds will complete the evening's programme. House, underground, electronic, commercial, break-beat, drum'n'bass, reggae music, live performances and video installations will all celebrate the new year and the power of love.
            DJs Claudio Coccoluto, DJ Red, Luciano, Cirillo and Giancarlino, Claudio De Tommasi will all be at the decks in the GOA-Ultrabeat room. In the BRANCALEONE room djs and performers will include Carl Craig, Dozzy, Andrea Lai, Riccardo Petitti, Nemesis, etc; in the ONE LOVE HI POWA room they will include One Love Hi-Powa, Villa Ada Posse, Gramigna, Bass Fi Mass, I- Schence; and in the GAY VILLAGE section guest of honour will be Boosta of Subsonica, Vladimir Luxuria Drag Jay, Lorenzo Rossi, Francesco Assenza, Lusky, Brezet, Max C. In the VENUS RISING room Lady Coco, Valeria, Paola Dee, Gaia, among others, will keep the crowds happy.

            NEW YEAR'S DAY PARTY: 1 JANUARY

            New Year's Eve for the very little ones: Pizzicaluna Antoine de Saint Exupery returns to narrate his incredible meeting with the child with the golden hair from the B612 asteroid, a child capable of making us see beyond appearances and making us understand that what is essential is often invisible to the naked eye. The show will take place on stages set up in semi-circles in the square in such a way that the audience will always be at the centre of the event. (The performance will be repeated on the afternoon of 6 January in a square in Rome's suburbs)
