Rome Loft Rental agency

Has anyone dealt with this company? I can't find reviews on Slow Travel or Trip Advisor.
I am looking at this appartment #606
http://www.romeloft.com/606-campo-de-fiori-apartment/
But can't help that feel it is a bit too expensive for what you get.

The other alternative I am considering is from Sleepinitaly # 268
https://www.sleepinitaly.com/en/show...d_appartam=268
I am worried that this might be too small, particularly the bathroom. Hubby and I are both 6ft2+

Thank you for any input!

"Loft" usually means a 5th floor walk-up. May or may not an issue depending on your level of fitness.

While these are both "OK", there are hundreds of other apts. in the Campo/Navonna neighborhoods - you might want to look at some others.

With a loft you may also need to go down stairs to reach the bathroom. Not something I like to do in the middle of the night in a place I'm not familiar with!

Neither of these appartments are in fact lofts - it is just the name of the rental agency.

I have not seen any reviews for this rental agency, which makes me a little nervous, even though the appartment looks fabulous

Ok. This is crazy! I am in the exact same situation. I am getting ready to book with Rome Loft - apartment 606!! But just like you, I've tried to do some checking around to find reviews, etc.
I sent an e-mail yesterday saying that I'd like to book. I got an e-mail back this morning saying to pay a deposit via paypal, then the rest is due IN CASH once we're in the apartment. Does that sound right? I've done a few vacation rentals before, and have paid by credit card (the best) and check (scary). I don't know. The cash thing just freaks me out.
I'm curious to see if I find anything. And if I do, I'll definitely pass it on. But I think I'm going to book it. I mean, if I have to pay once we're in the apartment, then we're already in the apartment, right? We're going there for our honeymoon, and my hubby-to-be just wants to make sure we get some receipt for the payment. You know, just to make sure on day 2 the real owners don't come home! Ok. I shouldn't joke. That would be terrible.
Best of luck! I'll let you know what happens!

Hello! So obviously this is too late for you. But I'm posting back on here just so there is some info out there.
We stayed at Rome Loft's 606 apartment a few weeks ago. We were there for 8 nights.
Let me just say, the location of this apartment can't be beat. It was steps away from Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori. The apartment itself was pretty much as pictured. Plenty spacious for 2 people. That's the good news.
From there, it got a little odd. The website says the master bedroom has it's own terrace. Don't confuse this with a "private" terrace. On the terrace, there is a small lime tree to the right, which is the only divider between your terrace and the neighbor's larger terrace.
When we checked in, we were told that someone would come in every day to water the plants. I never saw anyone water the plants, but someone did come by the first three days. The first day, she said she left laundry in the washing machine. Ok. The second day, she came by to drop off a lot of booze, and then put some tupperware in the fridge. The next day she came by to say that the owner's needed to stop by. Every time the neighbor's doorbell rang, it rang in our apartment, every time their phone rang, it rang in our apartment.
To me, it was very clear that this was once part of a larger unit, and was separated into a smaller space. There was even a door inside that went between the two apartments. With the owner needing to "stop by", it seemed like this was someone's actual home that they just "left" if someone wanted to rent it for the week. I own a rental property and have never needed to stop by to pick something up or drop something off. There are none of my personal belongings in the property. The same can't be said here.
All of that said, everything was fine. Nothing was stolen or anything like that. We never complained to Rome Loft, so I can't say if they would have changed anything. Would I stay here again? Probably not. It just wasn't worth the headache of wondering why some stranger was coming in everyday doing these things. Would I work with Rome Loft again? Probably not. Again, there are so many rental companies out there, I would rather just take my chances with some place new.
So, that's my story. Take it or leave it. I hope this can help someone out there. looking for info.

I thought I'd top this to see if anyone else had more info about using Romeloft. We are looking at the Piazza del Gesu apt 2+2 (I don't see a reference number.)

http://www.romeloft.com/4701-piazza-del-gesu-apartment/

They respond to my emails, but haven't yet answered all my questions, but said it's a new apt lisitng so they don't have any reviews.

I asked for a picture of the terrace, but they don't have any.
The description says there is a brickwork in the ceilings, but the pictures shown are all plain white.

Anyone stayed here?

They said they take a picture of our credit card for the security deposit.
I think I'll pass.

We stayed at the Campo lovely apt and did not have a good experience. The apt was dirty and many things were broken, sofa, hairdryer, etc. The lights in the bathroom and bedroom did not work. There was mold in the moka and many of the dishes and cooking items were dirty with caked on food. The directions to the apt, after asking multiple times, were vague and the maps did not have the correct name of the street. Once we did find it the location could not have been better. Actually closer to Piazza Navona. Great terrace. After complaining a couple times they did bring someone out to clean but we were leaving the following morning so it really did not matter. The communication up to 2 days before we arrived was very professional. Also, we used romashuttle.com for the ride to the airport and it was great, 40 euro.

I rented from rome loft this past christmas.

Although the apartment had an excellent location the apartment was filthy. It seems to me the apartment belongs to a heavy smoker and the smell never went away, everything smelled, the towels, the sheets, everything!

The was dust every where and even though I asked them to clean they only cleaned partially and there was dust under the sofas, tables and cabinets.

We were also told we would have internet and that never happened.

It actually helps me as I was thinking or renting an apartment thru RomeLoft.com. I had read a lot of mixed reviews and actually asked about this company on a thread myself.

I am going to pass based on some many iffy comments.

My husband and I rented through rome loft in 2010 and had no problems at all. The apartment was in Trestevere and we found it to be as shown. I cannot remember the name of our contact person but she was responsive to all my pre emails and met us as arranged on our arrival. I would not hesitate to use this agency again. We have found about on half of our visits to different areas in Italy to pay the deposit on a credit card/via paypal/or bank check and the balance in cash on arrival. Yes, this can be a pain with just arriving and needing cash in euros.
