Rome-La notte Bianca

I will be alone on La notte Bianca (just found out about their open all night 2nd annual festival) and would like to know where to go and where not to go, as a middle aged mom alone in the city for that night. Also, am researching for an 8 month stay in 2007-schools for my daughter who will be in 9th grade.
Thanks, Nina B

I was there last year in Rome when this took place. Not knowing anything about it we ventured out for dinner that evening.Wow-i think every person and especially every teenager in that country was in Rome that evening. Crowds were massive everywhere. It was an act of god to get a cab that evening and make our way out of the crowds. I am talking shoulder to shoulder, huge amounts of people were out for this.Being alone that evening will take some planning on your part as to what events or venues you may want to see.Getting from point "A" to "B" will take clever planning on your part. You may want to research online where certain events will be as the Programs that are given out that evening will be written in Italian only.I would suggest trying to stay "close to home" that evening and not stray to far. It was exiting to be a part of it, but a little nerve wracking after a while as the crowds seemed suffercating.Have fun and be safe.
