When booking a room in a hotel with a rooftop for dining or bar, make sure your rioom is not on the floor beneath the rooftop. We were awakened early by staff setting up for breakfast and couldn't get to sleep because of noisy bar. We stayed at Inn at the Spanish Steps in Rome which we did not enjoy and do not recommend.

We are staying at the Hotel Campo de Fiori in March. It has a rooftop area and they have been great to deal with.

I stayed at the Visconti. The rooftop area was perfect for relaxing in the evening. It was quiet but also expensive. The location is a bit out of the way.

The Albergo del Senato would be perfect. Rooftop bar overlooking the Pantheon.

The Albergo del Senato is way over the OP's budget. The cheapest room for two nights in June is 630 euro.

Dying to stay at Albergo del Senato. I think most of the hotels will probably be over the OPs stated price range. The Campo dei Fiori hotel will likely also be above that stated price range...lrock dying to hear what you think of it. Hi Weekender...I had a feeling you would post about AdS!

Thanks for the input, everyone! We booked Hotel Campo de Fiori. The rate is slightly over our budget (273 euros/night) but it seems very well regarded and will hopefully be worth it. We have stayed at Albergo del Senato before and, while it was very nice and the location is great, I just don't think it was worth the prices they are charging now. The room was SO tiny, I can't imagine it's worth 370s . Maybe they have updated and made it more luxurious, but I remember it as charming but definitely 3 star. We seriously considered the Albergo Cesari, too, but it seems that Campo de Fiori is a little more luxurious and also a great location. Anyway, I will post and let you know how it went!
