Rome-Hop on Hop off Bus?
Is there such the thing as a hop on and off tour in Rome? My husband has some difficulty walking , and we have found in other cities these types of tours get us to see the most, without hiring a driver and guide. Thanks

Due to some recent "restrictions" on the HOHO buses, which used to make 12-15 stops on their routes, they now make about 7-8 stops. So if you're going to ride the HOHO buses, you will be walking "further" than perhaps folks did in the past. Here's a post - with pictures and weblinks - of the many HOHO options in Rome.

We've taken those HoHos in Rome several times, and it's a great way to tour the city - with the 110 Open probably being the best.
Perhaps worth noting that recently - to cut down on the traffic problems from buses and coaches stopping everywhere - they've all been forced to reduce the number of stops they make, with the distances between them growing correspondingly longer.
The 110 isn't the only one affected, although not all the others have been quite as prompt in amending their websites...

Not really an issue if staying on for the entire circuit, only if ho-hoing!

The itinerary of the main HO HO in Rome now have about 7 /8 stops, this is because traffic rules for coaches in rome. Maybe you need also a pass for pubblic transportation that allow you to use the small pubblic vehicles that pass through the medieval narrow streets near the Pantheon, via del corso, Spanish Steps and other interesting sites.
