Rome, Florence, Venice and inbetween

Jump to last reply

My husband, 18 yr old daughter and I will be traveling to Italy (1st time for daughter) flying into Rome for three nights, and will fly out of Venice 10 days later in early June. How many nights should we spend in Florence and Venice? And is it recommended to do an inbetween 1-2 night trip to either the Lakes area or Dolomites (plan on renting a car after Florence and will drop off before stay in Venice?) Want her to experience the countryside not just cities. Thank you.
