Rome Fiumicino terminal 2 to terminal 3

Hi,

As mentioned on the previous posts I am traveling to Croatia in July. I will be taking a flight on easy jet from Dubrovnik to Rome for my main flight back home since there is no flight from Dubrovnik. I will arrive into Rome at 12.45 pm at terminal 2. My main flight from Rome is at 15.25 from terminal 3. That means i have 2 hours 40 mins in between. Is that much time sufficient to get from terminal 2 to 3??

If your tickets are on a single itinerary, it's plenty of time. Your bags will be checked through to destination, and you'll be able to stay behind security the entire time if you follow the signs for transit passengers. I often am a transit passenger at Fiumicino, and I've made connections that were much shorter than that.

Terminals 2 and 3 are about a five-minute walk apart. You won't see signs for Terminal 3, just for your boarding gate area. I don't know where "home" is, but if you're leaving from Terminal 3, it must be a non-Schengen country, but not the US or Israel, unless your carrier is Alitalia.

As you may know, easyJet will not transfer your checked luggage to your second flight. You will retrieve your bag and may go through the standard Italian entry procedures to get to the check-in for your second flight. I'm waffling about the requirements since Croatia was supposed to align with the Schengen countries at the start of this year. In any event, it will help if you can check in on-line for that second flight. If it is intercontinental, the airline probably will want you in the departure lounge ready to board at least a half hour early.
Still, that's a pretty generous transfer time. The airport is a bit tangled but the maps on its Internet site can help your navigation http://www.adr.it/web/aeroporti-di-r...co-airport-map

The walk to the Easyjet gates is 20 minutes from the luggage check in. It is a haul. So, the walk back to the main part of the terminal will take same 20 minutes. Will you have to get your luggage from easy jet and then re check it for flight home?

Yes i will have to get my luggage from easy jet and re check it. Easy jet website says all flights arrive at terminal 3 but I've read a few forums online which say easy jet arrival is terminal 2. Anyone knows which terminal is it? If it arrives at terminal 3 i will not have to change the terminal to get my main flight.

I will be arriving from Istanbul on T3-Fiumicino and have to catch a flight to Bacau, Romania from T2-Fiumicino. Will I need a Schengen visa for this transit. The lay over is only about 3 hours.

You will need to enter Schengen to enter Romania or Italy so it is not an issue, it is the same visa. So yes.

Easyjet's Rome FCO info says that all flights arrive at T3, but their bag drop is in T2, which may be what's confusing.

If you arrive at T3 then you should have lots of time to check in for your flight.
