No!
I suppose that will top the falling into the arms of Silvio.
I hope this isn't serious! With the financial crisis in Italy, it seems to display a lack of good sense.
Maybe there'll be a net gain to the tax payers -- saving money on health care for all those twisted ankles.
Zeppole, my husband and I are planning a trip to Italy in September. We would like to travel from Venice to Cinque Terre to Pisa and Tuscany. Since you are from the area, can you give me some advice? Hotels? Better ideas? We want to tour Venice, then relax amoung beauty the rest of the trip, possibly spend 8 days. We love to eat and enjoy wine. Need your help.
In the tradition of the OP, I guess I'll say if women are so stupid to wear high heels in Rome, on cobblestone streets, maybe they deserve the sore ankles.
I pride myself on being able to walk anywhere in my heels! I don't even want anyone to pave a road or sidewalk to make it easier...where's the sport in that?!
