Rome and Venice Schedule

Jump to last reply

OK. I am in the VERY early stages of planning a rough itinerary for our trip the end of May 2013. I would love any suggestions and I will try to take any criticisms with a smile. I have read many reports and I have a few guidebooks. We are - DH, me, and my sweet mother. We travel frequently together and get along very well. All 3 of us are active and we all love good food. We would love a few suggestions for an "upper end" meal in Rome and Venice and any that you just really loved that aren't too pricey. I am trying to balance "crazy" racing around and touring with sitting around doing nothing. The only thing that is set in stone is the Scavi tour. That is the bucket list item for my mother. Thanks in advance.

May 30 – Thursday Departure for Rome
May 31 – Friday Arrive in Rome - Check into apartment.(near Castel St. Angelo). Walk to Castel St. Angelo to look around. Walk to St. Peters and tour. Dinner somewhere near the apartment (near St. Angelo) or around Piazza Novanna
