My wife and I are in the early stages of planning a special anniversary trip to Italy. I have been to Venice before (she has not) and stayed at Al Ponte Mocenigo and loved it, but thought I would check to see if anyone has any good suggestions. Our budget is in the 150-200 euro/night range. Would love a room with a view if possible, but not necessary as I know they are typically a lot more. Thank you for your assistance!

You might want to do your own search on Venere.
http://www.venere.com/italy/venice/
You can sort by price and location. Read the reviews of people who've stayed there. You might find what you like.
How long will you be in Venice? I've seen many posts from people who've stayed in apartments which often have canal views. Could be romantic as you'd have your own kitchen and not entirely dependent on restaurants for meals. Search HomeAway or VRBO.
I was in Venice week before last. We stayed at the hotel Rialto. We had a view of the bridge. I booked in booking.com.
Thanks for the suggestions. We will be there 3 nights next May.
this place is lovely and romantic in my opinion on a very typical but quiet canal location- try and book their room with the terrace

in a nice authentically venetian area only a few minutes walk to the rialto bridge. Have been to venice twice and preferred this spot to our other place closed to St Marks
You might look at Locanda Cipriani on Torcello. www.locandacipriani.com. We ate lunch at the restaurant there -- it was beautiful and serene. DH & I plan to stay there for a few nights to celebrate our 30th anniversary next year.
La Calcina has nice views, a great outdoor restaurant, and great prices. It books up early, though.
Here are my notes on Hotel Colombina, from a visit to Venice a few years ago:
"We needed to use the internet one afternoon with my daughter’s laptop, and found the Hotel Colombina, which offers wi-fi in its lobby at a price more reasonable than the internet shops around. It was also a more pleasant place to sit for an hour, while we finished some internet business.
" The Hotel Colombina is a four-star hotel, located at Calle del Remedio, Castello 4416. It looked like a very classy and pleasant hotel, in true “Venetian” style of design. The front desk personnel were very helpful in setting us up on the wi-fi, even though they knew we were not patrons of the hotel itself. "
