Rock of Cashel vs Rock of Castle Dunamase

What can you tell me about it? The Rock of Cashel I've heard of, seen pictures of, it's in all the travel books, but the rock at Castle Dunamese I've never heard of, nor does it get much space/advertise/pushed for the hordes of tourists who go to Ireland each year.

If you had a choice and depending on your decision you would either get to see one or the other, which would you choose and why?
Thank you.

Wonder if you'd have more replies by tagging "Ireland?"
Good luck~

Off the tourist route a little http://www.irelandtravelkit.com/conq...hily-co-laois/ is worth a look and is not a long way off the main drag depending on the rest of your itinerary. The place is a ruin as would be expected for its age but some great scenery from its high spot. Get a photo that none of your neighbours have. In contrast http://www.heritageireland.ie/en/rockofcashel/ is a heritage site and has been well cared for and still under renovation to one small part. Before someone says its covered in Scaffolding, it is but one small corner where tourists wouldn't be able to walk anyway. For my mind the guided tour of the ROC is the best €6 you will spend.

Which would I chose? Both. if only for the contrast.
lots of other spots in the first link you won't find in the guide books.

Just in case someone wants to see the pictures, Instagram has lots of great pictures from Castle Dunamese (it wasn't a castle, actually, it was a fort) https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/rockofdunamase/
