Wondering if the cruise back from Hampton Court is worth the 3 hrs? I suppose it depends partly on the weather. Do we need to book ahead? Is it "scenic"?
River Cruise Hampton Court back to Westminster?

"I suppose it depends partly on the weather."
Actually, it almost entirely depends on the weather
"Do we need to book ahead?"
Not usually - I've always decided at the last minute as I was leaving the Palace. But to make sure, you can take a detour on your walk from the station to the Palace entrance and book for later in the afternoon.
"Is it "scenic"? "
Parts are quite scenic, parts are just interesting. It is a lovely way to while away 3 or 4 hours on a nice afternoon. But if the weather is crappy or your free time in London very limited - you can give it a pass.
(It doesn't always take 3 hours - can take longer since the river is tidal)
Thanks Janis, I think we'll take your advice and decide at the last moment.
Appreciate it!
