What is the easiest way to get from Reykjavik to Akuyreri?
Or is there a way you could go from one city to another stopping along the way which someone could suggest?

The easiest way to get from R to A is to fly, which we did.

The bus service around Iceland is extensive and friendly. With the "Bus Stop Over" planner, you can "Stop over wherever you wish for as long as you want." Is that what you are asking for?

We flew to Akureyri and took the bus back to R.
The plane trip took 45 minutes -- the views out the windows were wonderful. The bus ride took about 6 hours -- also nice scenery, but a long day.
Enjoy Iceland!
I drove... we stopped at a few places along the way... but there was nothing great. It took us around 8 hours with stopping several times.
