Reykjavik Restaurant Recommendations

We will be visiting Iceland for the first time the first weekend of March, and are looking for two great restaurants to have dinner at. Cost is not an issue, just great food and experience. Any suggestions?

For traditional Icelandic meal,I like"Vio TJornina, Templarasund 3" best,it is near City Hall, located in a charming old house. The seafood is very good. For excellent views and french style meal, try "Perlan",it is a glass dome on top of water towers, oversee whole city and surrounding mountain. The food and services are exceptional, tasting menu(6 courses) is the best value. Ask for table by the window when booking.
"Apotek" is the hot spot in town, but the so-called "fusion" food were neither fish nor fowl, very disappointing, better not to waste the money.

For good, cheap and fast lunch,"Sticks'N"sushi,Adalstrat 12"is one of the popular places. It is in downtown,on one of the oldest treets.

PastaBasta is one of my favorites, but it's not a "fine dining" kind of place--just delicious things like lobster in cream sauce over pasta, for example. Caruso is good, too.
There's a Viking place in Harfnarfjordur, close to Reykjavik (combines with the Blue Lagoon--gotta go there) that serves things you may not get elsewhere, like rotten shark and the bits of a ram that make it a ram. The traditional place (Lakjakbrodder??--check the Fodor's rants and raves section) at the one end of the main shopping street has a lovely atmosphere. For lunches, make sure to get a hotdog or two from the stand down by the harbor!
Have a wonderful trip--I'm starting to get "homesick" just talking about Iceland.

Robert-Please post a trip report after your trip to Iceland-seriously considering IcelandAir's Take-A-Break vacation later this year and spending some time in Reykjavik. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone tried Siggi Hall? Or any other small hip places like Sommelier?
