REYKJAVIC HOTELS

I am spending 3 days at end of Sept in Iceland with husband and 2 kids aged 16 and 18. Trying to decide between Reykjavic Centrum hotel and the Nordica. I would welcome any opinions/hints as they both seem good .
I would also appreciate any advice regarding Iceland "must-sees" or travel tips. Has anyone booked a self-drive tour with a CD? All help greatly appreciated!
