Basically you cannot go wrong. It's going to be expensive, though, especially if you order a la carte (3 courses or so) and have a bottle of wine plus water and coffee - in this case 100 Euro (120 CHF) isn't really realistic.

Hi yestravel,
One thing you could do is to have your larger, restaurant meal at lunchtime, when menus are cheaper. Then, at dinner, you can enjoy a picnic from the supermarket (fresh-baked bread, local smoked hams, local cheeses, Swiss chocolate, oooh yes!) and sit down on a bench somewhere or your hotel's balcony.
Have fun as you plan!

You know, saying 100E without saying for what and for how many really doesn't mean much.
Pontresina doesn't have a McDonalds but there are other low cost places you can find that sell cheap food.
If however, you want a quality meal with a bottle of decent wine and there are two of you, then you may find it difficult to do that for 100E.

But you haven't indicated what standard you expect and how many that 100E has to cover. Can 4 people eat for 100E in Pontresina? Yes if they aren't fussy about what they eat.

Sorry, there are 2 of us, thought I had included that. Generally we like to eat at local restaurants with moderate, by US standards prices, in the neighborhood of ~$100 - $125. A glass or 2 of wine or beer is nice. Don't necessarlily need a full 3 course meal. A main and app or dessert is fine. Definitely aren't interested in fast food places such as McDonalds. Just want some good food in a local restaurant. If portions are huge and its acceptable we can share. I know Switzerland is very expensive so hoping for some suggestions of places to eat that aren't going to cost $200 USD.
Getting food at supermarkets and eating picnic style will work for a couple of meals, but at some point we would probably like to sit in a restaurant and enjoy a meal.

You can easily check out prices in restaurants by going to their websites and having a look at their menu lists (quite some hotels/restaurants in Pontresina have this option.) Here is an example, the evening menu list of Sportstübli in Sporthotel (nothing upscale, btw):

You'll see that a main course (entree, meat) is somewhere between 30 and 50 CHF - chicken and pork on the lower end, beef more expensive. This doesn't include veggies or side dishes like potatoes or french fries, rice or so - that's another 7 CHF here per choice (in most restaurants it's included, but the prices for the entrees are often a bit higher then). Dessert would add another 12 - 15 CHF to the bill.
So if you're not picky and no big eaters then your budget is realistic. Portions are usually not overly large, btw. If you want three courses, wine and water, then it's not.
I found half-board (dinner included in the room rate) to be a very good (economical) option whenever I stayed in a hotel in Switzerland. Typically about 30 - 45 CHF more per person, but you get a 3-4 course dinner with choices. No beverages included. When I stayed in apartments I opted for swandav's way of dining - lunch in a restaurant (mountain huts/restaurants are usually cheaper, many other restaurants have special lunch offers) and bread, cheese, salsiz or ham in the evening at the apartment.
