Restaurants - Family Style

Jump to last reply

We are now moving to this planned itinerary:

Flying In Rome
Flying Out Venice

These are the only two airports with direct flights to/from Italy via Philadelphia.

Week 1: Tuscany/Val d'Orcia area (Base in Montepulciano)
Week 2: Pidemont/Langhe region (Base in Alba)
Week 3: Emilia-Romagna (Base in Parma/Modena)

This will be a food/wine affair. We like family style home cooking restaurants more than fancy plate restaurants. Some of our favorites over the past few years have been:

A Casa Mia (Montefiridolfi)
Ristorante La Castellana (Montefioralle)
Alla via di Mezzo (Montefalco)
Ristorante L’Ulivo (Trevi)
Trattoria da Peppe (Vasto)

Does anyone have recommendations for similar restaurants?

Thank you.
