RER B Schedule on a Sunday Morning
A friend and I will be ending a two week Krakow/Paris trip on Sunday 5/24. Our flight out of CDG is at 945 and we're staying the in 2nd. I'm trying to decipher the RER schedules and having a hard time. Can anyone tell me the earliest train from Chatelet Les Halles to CDG on a Sunday morning? I'm trying to determine if we'll be ok on the train or if we should grab a cab.
Thanks in advance!

Now you only have to watch out for one of those periodic metro/RER strikes, which are often well known before they happen however so keep in touch with the ratp.fr web site where they are announced.

Thank you PalenQ. Any thoughts on what we're looking at for a taxi from Etienne Marcel and Rue Montorgueil (that's where the apartment is and I know there's a taxi stand on the corner as I used it when I stayed in Dec). Will have to use that as a last resort in case of a lovely strike!

maybe 50 euro, rates are higher on Sunday. I've paid even more on Sunday morning, but from the far Left Bank. When you are there, you'd better check out whether there really are taxis around that taxi stop at the time, but if you've been there, I guess you know.

Thanks Christina! I did take a few taxis from that stand when I was there in December, but never that early on a Sunday. Our plan is to walk to Chatelet Les Halles and take the RER. I'll assume we'll have a better shot at a taxi from there if we run into trouble with the trains. I wouldn't normally worry about it (and I'm not really) but that time of morning on a Sunday has me thinking our options will be slightly limited.
I used a shuttle from the airport last time and had a horrible time with the driver and it wasn't until I told him to call the police did he understand that I was not going to be paying him cash as I had pre-paid with my credit card (and had the voucher/receipt to prove it). I assume he thought he was dealing with a timid female solo traveler. I was not easily intimidated!
I'll look into other shuttle services and may just book one to be safe.
Thanks again for all the input!

You really don't need to worry about the exact schedule, which may not be available more than 3 months in advance anyway. On a typical Sunday morning the RER B will make its first departure from Châtelet-les-Halles to CDG at about 5:30am and will run regularly every 5 to 15 minutes for the rest of the day. Just use the www.ratp.fr route planner in the link below:
