Renting car in Rafina? How long to Nafplion?

Jump to last reply

Okay, based on everyone's great advice here's our itinerary:

Day 1-3 Santorini
Day 4-5 (and maybe 6?) Mykonos
Day 7-8 Nafplion
Day 9-10 Athens

Someone mentioned that I haven't said much about how my husband and I like to travel. We are active usually see quite a few sites in one day. Of course, we'd love to stay longer but darn work always gets in the way of travel. I think seeing four places is totally doable for us.

Anyways, my question is this: should I take a boat to Pireaus or Rafina to get to Nafplion? The boat to Rafina gives us more time to get to Nafplion before dark. We're planning on renting a car-would I be able to do that directly from either of those ports? Or would I need to go to the airport?

We're going at the end of May. Any hotel recommendations? Do I need a hotel with a pool? It's already warm there!

Thank you!
