Renting a car at Beauvais train station?

We will be traveling to Gare du Beauvais where we hope to rent a car to attend a wedding in Gournay en Bray. I can find rental agencies at the airport, but can't seem to find any at the train station. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I can't imagine anyyone would bother putting a car hire office near Beauvais railway station when you can easily walk to the airport from there.

Since you'll probably have luggage, that mightn't be terribly practical. But neither does getting the RER from CDG to the Gare du Nord, then the train to Beauvais (if you really are from Toronto, you should be ashamed of yourself for as disgraceful a solecism as "Gare du Beauvais" No wonder the Quebec Libre people get so angry), then a taxi to the airport, then hiring a car.

Just pick up a car at CDG. You'll get to Gournay about the same time the RER gets you to the Gare du Nord.

Thank you for pointing out my spelling mistakes, flanneruk, that's very helpful. Since I was born in Montreal, I really appreciate the insult.

We are flying in to Paris then taking the train from Gare du Nord to Gare du Beauvais on a Friday, on the advice of my cousin who is getting married in Gourney. Being completely unfamiliar with the area, I'm merely following my cousin's advice. We will return to Paris by train on Sunday. I had no idea the airport was within walking distance of the train station, but again, thank you for assuming the rest of the world is familiar with the area.

Sheesh ;-)

Why not try to get an itinerary either from Beauvais or from CDG to Gourney using Google map or viaMichelin? That will give you an objective sense of distance and travel time.

Thank you so much for your help, Michael, I will do that. I've since found out that most car rentals are closed on Sundays. We're actually arriving in Paris on May 12, staying a couple of nights, and will just be traveling to Beauvais for the weekend. We may just end up taking taxis during our stay on the weekend. We return to Paris on Sunday afternoon for a further 5 days.

Thanks again for your advice.
