Rental car parking in Monterosso al mare.

Ciao all,

We need help with parking our rental car in Monterosso. We will be staying at the Casa dei Limoni. I've emailed them to see if they offer parking for their guest or if there is parking nearby for our rental car. They have not responded back. Could be they have a problem with their computer. I'm reaching out to all of you that have been to Monterosso. If you know of a parking area or garage near our hotel that we could use please let us know.
Grazie, Louie and Vera.

Unless things have changed since about '96, there is a hugh lot there where lots of cars can park. We had no trouble fining a spot on Sunday in early Sept. But since then, the CT has become more popular.

If you have a FAX number for the hotel, try sending a note. Italians often respond more rapidly to FAXes. Don't know why.

Ciao everyone.
Just received an email from our hotel in Monterosa. they don't offer guest parking, but they said there is parking across the street from their hotel for 15,00 euros a night. I want to thank you for all your help. Has anyone drove to Venice from the Cinque Terre. If you have how long did it take. We leave on a Sunday and will have about 5 1/2 hours to get to Venice and our rental car company. I have driven to Venice from Siena and did it in 4 hours.
Any help would be great.
Grazie, Louie and Vera.

Mapquest says nearly 4 hours, 250 miles, but I wouldn't cut it close. Have a good road map on the remote chance you'll need to leave the main highway and use secondary road because of a traffic problem. There can also be fog near Venice under certain weather conditions.

You know, if I was going to the Cinque Terre and Venice, I think I'd take the train. In both of these places a car is an expensive annoyance. Of course, I don't know the rest of your itinerary....

The parking lot is right by the sea and surrounded by a fence. We left it here the whole time we were in the CT, 3 days.
