Rental Agency Recommendation

Hi there.

Can anyone recommend a rental accommodation Agency please which :
.... Covers the biggest proportion of Europe, including Spain.
.... Can provide both long (10 months) and short term (up to three months) rental options at reasonable monthly rates.
Understands the "Schengen Rules".
.... Can be relied upon for honest and professional assistance and understanding of our needs when we are trying to set this up from so far away in New Zealand.
.... Is easy to communicate with via Email.

Thanks

Mike and Nicky

I wouldn't think it is the role/responsibility of a rental agency to advise you re schengen rules.

I'm not aware of any single agency that operates throughout most of Europe, including Spain. But you can check Vacation Rentals By Owner: www.vrbo.com

But that isn't an agency. It is merely a listing site. Wouldn't meet any of the OPs criteria except being all over Europe. They don't 'do' assistance . . .

What type of needs do you have? Any rental agencies I've used in Europe were good about answering questions about particular rental properties but were not available to give assistance (unless there was a problem with the property). I would never expect a rental agency to understand Schengen rules as that would not be part of rental an apartment.

Perhaps you should look into hiring a professional travel planner.

Just read your other post on the matter of the long stay. It is you to sort that out.
Europe is made up of different countries and whilst this allows free trade (in theory) in practice it can be hard . So This is a case where it is hard.
I think you have to even ultimately choose a location to find something.
You still may have to apply for a fiscal number to rent a place for a long time. Maybe even open a bank account so money can be taken on a monthly basis.
Anyway here are some websites for you to look at. They are naturally in Spanish.
http://www.fotocasa.es/
http://www.idealista.com/
http://www.spainhouses.net/
http://www.segundamano.es/pisos-y-casas/#
There will be others but these are the main ones for long term lets in Spain. I have never sued them so they come with no recommendation.

There are a few rental agencies that cover a couple countries, but I've never seen one that covers every country in Europe. Generally, they work better when they are more local.

Why don't you be more specific about what you want, because that wish list is kind of impossible. What countries do you really need, and how long term rental do you want and where.

For example, I used Habitat apts in Barcelona, and they also have stuff in Italy and Amsterdam http://www.habitatapartments.com/barcelona-apartments
