We will be in Rennes for one night before taking a train to CDG to fly home. This is a place that doesn't get a lot of posts on this board. Does anyone have suggestions for a good hotel? Would also appreciate info on dining and sight seeing. Plan to check out the Jardin du Thabor and walk about the town. anything else I should be sure to look for? Thanks for your help.

Trip Ideas
Rennes is a very lovely place in Britanny. I visited it many times because I loved Britanny...
For eating, I would recommend you to go in a creperie located Place Sainte Anne
Have a look at this link to locate it in Rennes:
http://www.eng.cityvox.com/restaurants_rennes/la-creperie-sainte-anne_25472/Profil-Place
It is the Place in Rennes with Rue Saint Michel that is the most animated in Rennes by night.
Concerning accomodation, I stayed in a 3 star Hotel called Hotel Anne de Bretagne, it is at walking distance from Place Saint Michel...
You can see it on: http://www.eng.cityvox.com/hotels_rennes/hotel-anne-de-bretagne_34684/Profil-Place
But you also can find other hotels according to your budget in Rennes...
What to see?
Go to Parliament, it has been newly renovated after a big fire about 10 years ago. Jardin du Thabor is also a great idea, the side of La Roseraie is beautiful....I found the Theater and the City Hall being very nice too( Ask or look for what is called "PLace de a Mairie" in french and you find both on the same big place)
Hope these information will help you....
Have a nice stay in Rennes!
Thank you so much for your kind and detailed reply. I had been looking at the hotel Anne de Bretagne in the Michelin guide. Guess we'll book that one. Appreciate your sightseeing and creperie recs as well. Glad to know there's plenty to see on our last night in Brittany.
