RENFE train drivers strike: 12 and 15 September 2014
Friday and Monday 12 & 15 September will be dates of train driver strike in Spain. As normal there will be a minimum services running.

Thanks for the heads up on that, rib. We are booked to travel Toulouse to Barcelona on Saturday 13 with renfe / sncf, so I will be keeping a close eye on that site and have all fingers and toes crossed that they don't decide to extend over the weekend! Di

We have purchased tickets online from Petrabax to travel from Cordoba to Madrid on September 12. Does anyone know what we should do about it? I think the tickets are non refundable. Also, if we still prefer to travel on the 12th instead of changing our day of travel around the strike, would a bus be a reasonable option?

Renfe is still offering tickets on the all of the Cordoba-Madrid AVEs on the 12th. They are not selling tickets on the trains (LD-MD 99342, ALVIA 04381 and AV City 02371) that will be affected by the strike on that date.
Check with Petrabax. Tickets should be refundable due to a strike, but only if you check ahead.
Buses are always an option.
