Renfe missing trains now I saw 6 mo ago
We, will I, plan really far ahead. So for travel this Nov searched renfe train schedules last November to get an idea of schedule, which train station and cost.
Barcelona Santa to Girona (Nov 2013) I have 3 trains between 8am and 930am. Now the first train that shows up is at 945am.
Going from Valencia Nord to Sagunto, the same thing.
Am I searching to far out? I've searched fodors.com for renfe and went to other sites recommended but shows the same times as renfe.
Any ideas?

You're too early. I had the same problem when trying to book my train tickets earlier this year. The website showed only the slow trains and I knew there were supposed to be fast trains, too. More trains should turn up about three months before the travel date.
To make it even more irritating Alsa (bus company) had a fifty percent lower price for tickets booked over 120 days ahead. So if I waited for the fast trains to turn up on Renfe and then missed their cheaper prices I'd also miss the half price tickets on Alsa. It turned out ok, in the end, but I was a bit worried at the time.

Simply look to an imminent date. Little or nothing will change.
Monitor about once a week from about ninety days away from your journeys. There is no other more accurate site than RENFE, the provider, where all receive the information.

Renfe's AVE trains should open 90 days ahead, other non-AVE trains 60 days.
A reality check: We Europeans use our trains to (say) visit Granny in 3 weeks' time, or do a business trip to another city next Thursday. We don't think "I must visit Granny on the third Wednesday in November" when it's only February, for example.
So opening 3 months ahead is plenty, unless you're an overseas visitor wanting to plan every last detail a year ahead! So don't worry, just wait till nearer the time, like we do. ;0)

Not really. You need to look at CERCANIAS trains for Sagunto. The C6. These train tickets are bought from a self- serve kiosk at the station or from a window. They start around 7:15. Here is the schedule. The long /medium distance trains that stop in Sagunto are fewer, start later and cost a LOT more.

Try the same for Girona.
