Reliable Car Service from Napoli Centrale to Sorrento

Does anyone know of a reliable car service to take us from the Napoli train station to our hotel in Sorrento?

My challenge is that I do not know the exact time of arrival. We arrive in Rome at 7:30 am. Then I will buy tickets on the Leonardo Express to Roma Termini and our tickets to Napoli. That is when I will know our arrival time.

I had corresponded with a service but when I confirmed, I did not receive any response.

I appreciate any recommendations.

The Circumvesuviana Railway runs Napoli Centrale to Sorrento every 30 minutes for around €4.10.

To avoid paying hundreds of euros for an unnecessarily long taxi ride, just take the Circumvesuviana then a taxi from the station to your hotel within Sorrento.

It won't be crowded after the evening rush hour.

I highly recommend Sergio. We used him to take us from the Naples Airport to Positano and then from Positano to Naples Train Station. We also booked one of his drivers to take our group to Pompeii.

We were driving from Ascoli Piceno so did not have an exact time of arrival. We were able to communicate with Sergio by phone, text and email.

OK, I know you asked for a car service, but as Seat_61 said above, I encourage you to consider taking the Circumvesuviana. We took the same routing from Rome: train to Naples, then local train (the Circumvesuviana) to Sorrento.
You'll be arriving into the Naples train station so you'll be right at its starting point. There are good directions for the quick transfer walk from where the train station to the starting station for the Circumvesuviana. Trust me...it's easy! The Sorrento station where it takes you is well located and in easy walking distance of downtown Sorrento where most hotels are located. Which hotel are you staying in Sorrento?

The Circumvesuvia was very crowded when we took it and rather grungy too. I wouldn't want to take much luggage on it. I recommend hiring a driver service for that portion.

I though the Circumvesuvia was fine. If you don't like crowds, don't go to Italy!

I go to zItsly every year and deal with crowds. That train was a different category.

I think the OP or anyone else who is willing to pay for a car service from Naples to Sorrento should do so. One benefit is that a car service will take you directly to your lodgings, whereas if you take the Circumvesuvia, you have to take a local bus or a taxi (or walk) to your lodgings.

But for many of us, who are used to public transportation in Europe, a car service is a wholly unnecessary, maybe not an affordable extravagance.

I know a lot of other people read these threads and hear horror stories about Circumvesuvia and think it's something terrible they need to avoid - but it really isn't. So it gets a little crowded - so what? So do a lot of trains in Europe. Use common sense with your belongings (maybe don't overpack!), don't put yourself in a "rush" situation where you might feel stressed, and you'll be fine.
