Recommendations for 4-5 star hotel in Glasgow

Hello all
Can someone help please with 4-5 hotel in Glasgow. Central location near shopping and dinning options and very importantly has sound-proof and air-condition.
I found it odd that some 4-5 hotels there don't have minibar, is that normal?

Thanks in advance

Hi. We stayed at the Carlton George hotel 2 years ago and would recommend it. Not sure what the star designation is but it's definitely a boutique style hotel. The location is excellent, the rooms very nicely appointed and the staff very pleasant.

We did have an executive room with a free mini-bar plus whisky in decanters and access to the executive lounge which also had free cocktails etc. The hotel is air conditioned.

In October, 2009, we stayed at the Grosvenor Hilton, a full-service hotel in the West End, and found it excellent. Since our stay was in autumn, we didn't even factor in airconditioning and ac availability is not obvious on their website.

We certainly had no problems with noise.

The Carlton George, Radisson and Blythswood Hotel are 4 and 5 star centrally located, good for shopping and entertainment, well reviewed and all have room mini bars.

I've stayed at the Hilton there, but I prefer smaller hotel venues.

Try venere for 4 and 5 star hotels. Always check around for a better price.

Very few hotels will have mini bars - though some international chains do have these cash cows.

What is your actual budget? Star rating doesn't have much of anything to do w/ rates.
