We've used Paris Shuttle in the past -- it's now 38€/couple. Bee Shuttle is 34€/couple, Yellow Van is 36€/couple, and Paris Airport Service is only 30€/couple. I've recently read some bad reports on Paris Shuttle, and I wonder if anyone has had any recent experience with the other shuttle companies. Thanks for the help.

Coming home in July, our hotel arranged our transportation with Yellow Van. They were great. They called the hotel when they were about 5 minutes away, the driver was careful with our bags, very professional and yet friendly. He asked which flight we were on and knew exactly where to take us at CDG. So yes, we were pleased.

In October, 2006, Hotel Brighton arranged a shuttle for us. I had a telephone number to call on arrival. I called and was told where to stand outside for the van. Thirty minutes later we were still waiting. I called again and was told that the van was on the way. After another wait of about 20 minutes we were picked up and sat at another terminal, waiting for another couple for at least 20 minutes. After taking the other couple to their hotel we proceeded to two pickups for the trip back to CDG. WE finally reached the hotel -- about four hours after arrival!

In the future we will take the train to Paris and then a taxi from the metro station. Much faster and cheaper.

I have been luckier with shuttle services in Paris, although I will say that Paris Blue Shuttle, while cheaper than Paris Shuttle, was a little quirkier at least on the trip back to CDG. Booking shuttles on line and getting picked up at CDG has always been fine. Getting picked up on the way back has usually been fine too, but this last time the shuttle driver was rather agitated as though he had an appointment. He went to one stop where the passenger was not out on the street and another where the passenger was late. After much calling on the mobile phone, he made a stop in some obscure place and moved all of the remaining passengers and our luggage into another, unmarked van. All this without explanation...

Otherwise, though, the service of all of the shuttle services I've used (varied because some where booked by the hotels I stayed at) were timely.

I forgot to mention that I have also taken other forms of transportation into the city, including taxis, and Air France bus, and RER. Coming from halfway around the world, I want point to point service after the long trip. I have found navigating the trains and metro with heavy luggage a little difficult after a long trip as well. Others travelling on shorter flilghts and with less luggage might find other means of transportation as convenient and less expensive.

I have used ParisShuttle several times with satisfactory results. This time (last week) we used Bee Shuttle and it was a disaster, just made our flight.

First, they were fifteen minutes late for our pickup in the 6th near St Germain de Pres and the van was from some other service that had been sent by Bee Shuttle.

Second, we proceeded to a second pickup at a hotel in the 2nd and then off to a third pickup in the 10th, but half way to the third pickup, the second person discovered that the van was going to CDG and she wanted (and had reserved for) an Orly destination.

At the third pickup, we were delayed more than 20 minutes because the parties were not ready since we were more than 30 minutes early for their reservation.

Did I mention rainy day and terrible traffic? (although this cannot be blamed on Bee Shuttle.)

Never again will I use Bee Shuttle, even if they are marginally less expensive.

Do not use Bee Shuttle. They are unreliable, and you must work on their time.

I don't know if I'd posted this previously, but prior to booking, I had requested that our names be on a sign so we can easily ID our driver. They noted that they do this for all customers, so don't worry. I didn't. My fault.

We get to Paris, no signs, no driver. A kind gentleman helped us call their number to find out where they were, and the person on the other line hung up several times. We were told to wait there, have a seat at the window near the exit door and someone will come to get us. Fine. 30 minutes later, I call, get hung up on several times, am yelled at for hanging up on him (even though he hung up on me), and tells me to be patient, the driver is coming. 30 minutes later, I call again, am yelled at for hanging up the phone he hung, and then yells at me that the person has been parked there for more than an hour. Um, weren't we sitting by the window per instructions? Then they tried to overcharge me as I got off. A quick show of the e-mail, a bit of rusty French, I pay what the e-mail tells me to pay, and I'm off.

Coming back was interesting. We booked roundtrip shuttle, although I had considered cancelling their service. Birthday girl, Mom, prevailed. Fine. How bad can it be?

We get called at 10am that morning, just as we're about to go out for a short walk, to say they're coming in an hour to pick us up for our 3pm flight. What? No. I want to be picked up at 12pm, as I requested. I was told, "NO! We are picking you up at 11am!" and I heard the phone hang up. We give up our one sunny Paris morning to do a sweep of our room. We also had to give up our last run to Monoprix for these delicious fruit marshmallows we'd discovered the night before.

I had to help our driver decide which terminal was best to drop us off at, even though they had our flight information. By using his ancient book which was desperately outdated I'm thinking, don't they do this all the time? Of course, we get dropped off at the wrong terminal. But at least we had plenty of time to get to the correct terminal.

I wrote down names of different shuttles to use the next time we head to Paris. Yellow Van is definitely one of them.

We had a great experience last year with Grey Shuttle, when our family of 5 visited Paris, but it would be pretty expensive for a couple.

In the past we've used Paris Shuttle but felt like it burned a lot of time because we had to wait a long time at the airport for pickup and they insisted on picking us up earlier than we wanted on the return trip.

When we traveled with another couple a few years ago, we shared a taxi and that was just fine -- reasonable enough to split between us and worth not having to shlep luggage, however lightly we pack, through the metro and RER, especially after an overnight flight.

We had a reservation with Capitol Shuttle who gave us a number to call when we arrived. The phone number didn't work---even had the guy at the information desk try it. Then we asked around and found out where they usually parked. Sure enough, there was a Capitol Shuttle van. We waited for almost an hour and finally a driver arrived. When a told him our names he looked at some papers and said," The next driver will get you. I'm busy." We took a cab to Marais for 55E (2 people). Used a different suttle on the way back, Paris Shuttle, I think--they could only pick us up about 45 minutes later than we wanted and it took fully 1 1/2 hours to get to CDC to leave the city, let alone drive to the airport. We had five bags (I know, I know) or would have done the train.

Why would the Gray Shuttle be expensive for a couple?

Because it's 65€ whether you have 1 or 4 and then add in a small tip and it's more than a taxi.

That's really a private car service, not what people usually think of when they say shuttle. Although some "shuttle" companies also do private car transfers, of course. But usually a "shuttle" in the name means group transportation.
