Hi,
My friend and I are going to be in Belgium, the Netherlands ( Amsterdam, Maastricht)
and the Moselle Valley. We'll be arriving this Friday starting in Brussels, Brugge and Antwerp. I know to look on the weather websites for each country but I'd like an accurate weather forecast from you who live in these places.... Thanks natjgc

The five day forecast for the Netherlands has Friday as wet, Saturday and Sunday dry, temps around 10-14C. The 10day forecast has it continuing dry until next Thursday when there is a small chance of rain. Brussels etc are similar.
It will be cold at night though - hovering around freezing.
http://tinyurl.com/yhu3gne offers 14 day forecasts for Europe - put in the country and town you want and it will come up with a reasonably accurate forecast.
www.buienradar.nl offers real time rain radar pictures of The Netherlands and Belgium, and under 5dagen an accurate 5 day forecast for the Netherlands. The 3 day forecast is of course even more accurate.
I'll try and post a more up to date forecast before you leave.
hi, natjgc
the forecast for cornwall is warm and sunny!
not much use to you but I thought you might like to know.
have a great trip,
regards, ann
Downtown Munich has 3C (37F) overcast but no rain / snow right now. Mosel should not be much better.
Sounds cold, not much different from where I live in Kansas.
Thanks for the info on the forecast. I think I'll need a heavier coat than I thought.Ann, Cornwall is enjoying great weather. That is to be savoured. Enjoy it.
Hetismij, thanks for the website but unfortunately it's in Dutch. Is there a website that is in English? natjgc
Leaves have fallen in the last 48 hours. This morning my car was covered in a thick layer
. Fun to play with, if there just weren't those damned dogs...
Forecast is still for dry and sunny weather next week, temps of 10-12C during the day and as low as -3 at night.
The meteox site (the tinyurl) has an English site offering live radar, but not the long term stuff. However the long term forecasts are easy enough to understand as they are in graphic form. Choose the country and town you want (land & plaats).
Just be glad you are not going to Austria where they have has a lot of snow, or to Poland where they have had snow high winds and resulting power cuts - 700,000 people without power there.
Just why is it so hot up north...
It's around freezing all day long down here, s*itty weather.
I just came back from Belgium, The Netherlands and the Moselle valley. I have the say that the weather was not bad, some rain and chilly temps but we were prepared.
One day in Amstersdam was very cold but that was really it for uncomfortable temps during the time we were there.. Thanks
Just curious - why would you trust the anecdotal weather information from random people on a message board over the forecasts on a site like weather.com?
november-moon:
Because the forecasts on weather.com are not precise enough. What does it mean when it says "showers"? Showers in the Netherlands are different from showers in, say, New Mexico. Or "light rain"? Will it rain all the day through or will it be intermittent?
The Fodorites who live in the destination countries know better what to expect.
I don't see anything in the responses that is more "precise" than what weather.com has--other than leaves falling where logos999 is.
"not bad" "cold" "wet" "dry" "small chance of rain" "freezing"
Hey Paul, I'm not meteorologist , just a person who has experienced the weather and you know sometimes that is better
than an a weather report. natjgc
"Leaves falling" is over in Munich. However, no snow just masses of leaves on the escalators and stairs at the subway stations. Nice.
Just that, you know, I always think of dogs poo hidden somewhere, walking through them, don't know why, maybe just a stupid thought

My car was totally covered two weeks ago. (Not poo, but leaves)
I loved the Moselle valley, completely beautiful!!!!and the wine, a paradise for someone who loves Rieslings
