Ramstein, Munich, Zurich, Paris

My husband and I are planning a trip for June 2014. We will be taking a Space-A flight into Ramstein. From there, we are planning to visit Munich, Zurich, and Paris. Our flight home will depart from Ramstein. The duration of our trip is from 10 to 14 days. Any suggestions in helping us plan this trip are appreciated. Thank you!
Lynn

Am curious about Zurich. It is primarily a business city and most people go to Swtiz for the Alps. Is there some reason you're focusing n Zurich or are you open to other options?

Open to other options. We just chose that because it was fairly easy to get to from Germany. Want to see the Alps.

I would switch Zurich to Interlaken or one of the towns in the foothills of the Berner Oberland. Much more interesting and lots to do on the lakes and surrounding areas as well as ascending the Jungfrau. Zurich is too far awyy to do this as a day trip.

Or Lucerne instead of Zurich. Lucerne is very easy to reach by train, about 1 hour from Zurich. Very beautiful, and lots of things to keep you busy for a day or two. As much as I love Zurich (and I'll be there again in one month) if it's mountains you want to see, then you need to skip Zurich this time.

I did not see anyone address Space-A, I am retired military, and my wife and I just did the same thing. Visit grandchild in Hanau just outside of Frankfurt and we did a overnight trip to Paris. I am going to assume that ur husband is retired, which means you are cat 6. Your category is the last to receive a seat. You may get to Ramstein and find it hard to get back. Service members are taking leave, Dependents are getting out of school and using seats. They are all ahead of you. Same thing with lodging. Again, ur the last to get a room, based on availability. Where are you flying from? I'm guessing btween New York and Virginia. McGuire, NJ, Dover, Del and Baltimore-Washington Intl, are the 3 airports going into Ramstein. Anyway, enjoy ur trip. P.S. Space-A is not completely free. Should u fly out of or into Bwi on a charter flight, u will be charged 35.00 per person. But it still beats a 1,000.00 ticket.

I can see the pattern of your trip and sounds good to me. Where are you flying from from? I will admit we are only doing non school holidays as we are cat 6. Do have a back up plan. If you are retired and no worry about getting home then ok. Please let us know how it goes. I always love to read about space a trips.
