Rafting Gorge du Verdon

Just a tip for anyone planning on rafting the Gorge du Verdon - call ahead! We drove to Castellane on our holiday and ended up not being able to go rafting since they hadn't let enough water out of the dam to make rafting possible... They were releasing water 2 days after we left :( I think you are fine not booking ahead, but I had no idea that I should check to see if there was enough water in the river Verdon. They offered us "floating" which is basically floating down the river in a life jacket, but my youngest didn't weigh enough (something about the cold water). Hope that helps someone planning their holiday in the future :)
