I need help planning a three week fall vacation. We want to leave the third week of Oct and come back the middle of Nov. Three kids aged 6, 12 and 14. Used to travelling a lot. We have all been to Greece, London and Paris so none of those places. Ideas so far of places we would like to see...Bruges, Amsterdam, Prague or Italy but open to anything really. Thanks!

That's kind of like me asking you if I should have the chicken or the fish?
What do you like to do?
What's your budget?
Cities or towns?
Hotel or apartment rental?
A bit more infois needed for anyone to help you.
3 weeks in Italy would be great....what are your interests?
Considering the weather, I would advise staying south. So Italy seems the solution. Spend a week in each of 3 places and take day trips from there.
Thanks for the replies! We love exploring, castles, small villages, museums. We try to not do two indoor activities in a row. Such as museums one day then something fun outside the next. The kids aren't too fond of large cities (we live in a town of 5,000) and are most comfortable in small places but for a few days at a time they don't mind. No budget really but we aren't into fancy hotels. We usually use VRBO for apartment rentals. We all enjoy biking and hiking as well. If we did Italy if we few into Venice and out of Rome what would be recommended places to see in between? The kids love history so Pompeii is a must.
