Question may seem odd, however.
We are travelling to Ireland this week and in the midst of packing. My husband likes polo style jerseys with khaki slacks, he has some Hilfiger jerseys. Would it be ok to wear the Hilfigers?
I appreciate any input and thankyou in advance.

Two weeks ago, when I was in Ireland, I saw a shocking variety of clothes worn by both locals and tourists. I came to the conclusion that the average Irish citizen has too much of a so called "life" to even waste one brain cell on the outfit of another person.

Not orange,a white one and yellow one, very conservative, with the very small flag Hilfiger insignia flag. We're in our early sixties, dress nicely, however, certainly don't want to offend anyone and want to be politically correct.
Cowboy1968 I like your way of thinking. It certainly wouldn't bother me, as a matter of fact, with the various style of dress in the U.S. and some of it being offensive, I just shrug and go about my business.

You will have no problem. Dont worry about it. People wear the same thing here in Europe as they do in N. America. They are definitely more fashionable...but you are on vacation and TH will not offend.
Enjoy your vacation!

collinsmfg--
I did not mean to make (too much) fun of your question.. well, maybe a little, but:
You will find Hilfinger shirts and sweaters in the most godforsaken Irish town for sale, as well as most other international clothing brands you can think of.
I bet a round of Guinness that no Irish will be able to understand how you could possibly be able to offend him/her by wearing a Hilfinger shirt.

Yes,it's a serious question, and yes, we've been abroad several times. However, not to Ireland.
We like to dress stylishly and dress well.
Jamikins, I appreciate your last thought!
Also, Cowboy1968, yes you're right about the round of Guinness and more so, when they would hear the Irish name.
Thankyou all -
Ciao everyone!

Perhaps you were concerned collinsmfg because of the false and phoney emails that have spread around regarding the absolutely false story of Hilfiger comments on the Oprah show some time ago..all false. In fact he wasn't on the Oprah show and consequently did not make the comments he was accussed of making. Other than that I don't know why you would be asking.

Fashion is more globalised these days and you will find people wearing more or less the sames styles world wide due to this. don't worry.
