Question about Paris afternoon, Laduree & Jacquemart Andre, and restaurant

My sister and I will be arriving in Paris in the afternoon, and hope to drop bags and go immediately to the Musee Jacquemart Andree, located at 158, bd Haussmann . We also planned to go to Laduree that afternoon ( I believe there is one right in that area) and purchase gifts. I am having a bit of trouble locating hours...can anyone advise what time Laduree will be open until on a Thursday? Since we will not get to the museum unil 3:30 or 4 we want to go there first.

Also, can anyone recommend a nice, traditional French restaurant that is moderately priced (I don't want to pay $300 for dinner) in this general area? I've looked at some of the noted ones in the Champs area and they seem very expensive (obviously, because of location). We had hoped to combine great view with great food! As my sister says "how hard can it be? We are in Paris!" Thanks.

And google maps is also helpful. Use the address of the museum, map, search nearby feature and put in "restaurant" or "bistrot" and then you can use trip advisor or other restaurant review websites such as www.viamichelin.com or www.gayot.com to look them up.

"... can anyone recommend a nice, traditional French restaurant that is moderately priced ..."

I can recommend a traditional bistro that is about a 10 minute walk from the Musée Jacquemart-André. It's called La Cave Beauvau, 4 rue des Saussaies, kitty corner to the Palais de l'Élysée. The phone number is 01 42 65 24 90.

Here's what John Talbot has to say about it:

and Alexander Lobrano:

You can also read about my meal there in February:

www.fodors.com/community/europe/susans-paris.cfm (It's buried about half way through in the section on restaurants.)

To get there, just walk east on boul Haussman to rue Miromesnil, then south to Place Beauvau. Rue des Saussaies runs off to your left. The bistro is only open a couple of evenings a week, but I am almost certain that Thursday is one of them. It might be a good idea to give them a quick call just to make sure they are open.

Here's a photo of our bill; €153 for four of us, but we did have aperatifs and wine:

Oh, I meant to add: there isn't a view from within the restaurant, but you can gaze at (but not get too close to; it's crawling with guards) the Palais de l'Élysée when you walk through Place Beauvau.

You guys are so great, thank you all so much. Very helpful as always. AnselmAdorne, I love your suggestion about the restaurant. Looks delicious and I'll make a reservation. FYI, I read your beautiful post about Susan & Paris, several weeks ago, which was both beautiful and poignant. M older sister has lupus and is too ill to really leave her house. Back in the day, she loved Paris so much. I was so moved by your post, I printed it out for her and left it on her doorstep with a note that said "let's go back there together!" Thanks again to all of you
