Qs about Venice Museum Pass and Verona Card

Anyone used it? Can one buy it over the phone and book the Secret Doges tour at the same time?

Ditto, but I want to know about both, as we hope to go this coming winter.
Thinking of flying into Venice, staying a few nights, then to Verona for a couple more nights, then train to Florence and pick up a car and head to the countryside where we will stay for most of a week.
I am investigating the cards, but really want to keep the thread going.

I didn't check -- but presumably you can buy it at any one of the museums covered. If so, presumably Museo Correr will be convenient (if you're concerned about lines at a place like Palazzo Ducale).
The links always seem to switch to Italian for some reason (click on the "English" in the left panel to get the English version).
Don't know a thing about Verona.
You don't ask about the Venice Card, but a cautionary note: I don't think that people should buy this in advance. First I think that it may not be a good deal (but do your research). Second when I was there, I heard some tourists being sent to the train station to pick this up (when they could easily have bought the card at San Marco, but they had pre-booked).

No, I haven't had a chance to call. The reason to buy in advance is because I think it covers Doge's Palace - I'm not sure if the secret tour is separate or just a supplement in addition to the pass.
Not sure when I'll have time to call either. Do you mind calling them for me?

Ok - I have answers for my own questions, as I'm back from my trip. Hope this will help the next person who stumbles on this thread:

I do not think it can be bought over the phone. Not really a good deal unless one plans on going to the museums covered. It covers the Doge's Palace but does not cover the Secret Itineraries Tour. It does not even give a discount for the Secret Itineraries Tour.

Yes, it covers city bus fares. Apart from being sold at the sights, it can be purchased at the Exchange Bureau Office (nor Tourist Info) at Verona's train station. The 1-day Card is valid for <b>one</b> day, not 24 hours. It expires at midnight on the day of purchase.

While in Venice I bought the Museum Pass, the Secret Itineriers Tour and the Vaparetto Pass.
The Museum Pass was purchased at the Correr Museum and I used it there, the Burano Glass Museum and for a quick tour back to the Doge's Palace. I do believe that I just about broke even on the cost...comparing the pass to individual entry fees. By the time we arrived in Venice, at the end of our month long tour in Italy, we were pretty much museum'd out...so we didn't take advantage of all the museums available on the pass.
I enjoyed the Secret Itineries tour and the Correr Museum the most. I was sorry about having to pay twice for the Doge's tour...once with the Secret tour and once through the Museum Pass.
The daily Vaparetto pass was a worthwhile purchase and I bought a five day pass and used it the entire week we were in Venice. It was a great way to see Venice and to get around. I bought the vaparetto pass at the Visitor's Center in San Marco's Square. Make sure you pick up the Vaparetto schedule while there too.
If you want a great local place to eat go to "The Planet"...inexpensive and very Italian.
