I'm not sure if this has already been discussed, but are we able to buy multiple one-way tickets on the renfe site at the same time or do we have to purchase one at a time?
Also, once we print the tickets are we set or do we need to do exchange for actual ticket in Spain?
Thanks!

Trip Ideas

I believe you have to buy one at a time.
Once you have the self-printed tickets, you're all set to get on the train. No need to exchange for anything.
Sorry, I meant to say that if you are buying multiple one-way tickets on different train trips, you have to do them separately (ie, one ticket from Barcelona to Madrid, one ticket to Madrid to Seville etc).
If you are asking if you can by TWO one-way tickets (eg, from Barcelona to Madrid on the same train) in the same transaction, then I don't know the answer. When you tried on renfe, did they allow you to choose more than 1 ticket at a time?
Yah, I couldn't navigate well enough on the site to figure out where I could add another trip on same transaction. I was trying to minimize the credit card fees for purchasing in different currency.
You can purchase as many tickets as you want on one train, one-way or round-tip, as already noted. You cannot add additional train trips to other destinations. Your fees will not change regardless of how many tickets you purchase at once. The bank charges by the dollar amount, not the transaction. It's a percentage of the total.
