Puglia. Would like to go wine tasting.
Can anyone give me recommendations for wine tasting in Puglia. We will be staying 6 days in Lecce and 6 days in Gioia del colle. Are there vineyards that offer tours and tastings. We would rather not book with a tour company.

You might find this helpful, although I am not sure it is completely up to date. I personally prefer the wines around the Castel del Monte area, which is not far from Gioia del colle.

You might also find once you get to Puglia that if you are renting a place that your landlords have friends with connections to wineries, or can recommend a wine shop where you can taste a lot of different local wines, including dessert wins and liquers.

Wineries in Puglia may not be as geared to tourists as those in other regions such as Tuscany.
You would probably require an appointment in advance.
I would look, too, in the area of the red-wine area of Salice Salentino, for example, these wineries accommodate visitors:

Here is a more complete list of Pugliese wineries:

Perhaps you'll have missed the boat - but maybe some of those participating in this 1 July to 30 September event will continue opening into October?
