Public Transportation: Granada to Ronda / White Villages?

Hi guys,

I have couple of extra days in Granada and thinking of exploring white villages through day trips. Ronda definitely comes top of the list. Arcos de la frontera, Grazalema are also interesting. But at this point, it depends on practicality of public transportation connectivity as I do not drive.

Pls let me know how to plan day trips to white villages from Granada?

See your other post for bus detail and I forgot - some villages are also linked by the rail line Ronda to Algeciras.

Yes WomBatt, just saw your post and replied. I'd check the linkage. If you know specifically how to get to Arcos del a frontera or grazalema from Granada / Ronda, pls let me know.

Hi WomBatt, yes thanks, got connections to other white villages from Ronda..

Trying to find connection to those villages from Granada and if there is a bus from Granada to Ronda...in the pdf, there are linkages from seville and malaga etc to Ronda but not Granada. Couldn't find it either on Renfe or the bus website...

I suggested close by and beautiful Alhama de Granada on your other thread. Three buses daily between Granada and Alhama de Granada, 1h 30 mins. Leaves Granada 12, 15:30 and 18:30. Operated by ALSA: http://www.alsa.es/en/

Perhaps stay in La Seguiriya on top of the gorge in Alhama de Granada? Six rooms. http://laseguiriya.com/en

La Seguiriya also includes a nice restaurant with a magnificent terrace serving local specialities.

And to end my promotion of Alhama: 40 mins and 50€ to the Granada airport in taxi.
