private tour guide in Russia
Thinking about going to Russia-We have a lot of starwood points so would like to use our points to stay at hotels in Moscow and St. Peterburg. We would like to hire a private guide in these cities any recommendations?

There are many good local tour operators who can create customized tours here in St Petersburg. What would you like to do, your interests and what style of touring do you like?
I am an American who gas lived in St Petersburg for years and know most of the companies and hundreds of guides, so can give inside knowledge based advice.

Our experience with Dancing Bear Tours in St. Petersburg was superb. We expect to use them again when we return there in about 18 months. The website is http://dancing-bear-tours.com/.

Concerning reccomendations, I can say you only one thing - don't try to find a good guide there - you should chose him in advance. http://www.private-guides.com/ - here is a good variety of professionals. In Russia are so many swindlers, that you can lose all your money with native guides!
