private photo tours in Venice and Florence
Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced photo tour for 2 people? We did this in Paris and my husband loved it. He is way more experienced than most, but the photographer there did offer him suggestions on specific manual settings to get incredible photos of Paris at dusk! So, I am looking for something like that for Florence and Venice, but I seem to find the ones that are either 300 Euros for 3 hours or one that was 600 Euros for 3 hours. There were several to choose from in Paris but they were all a bit less expensive.
Any suggestions?
And to be clear, I am not looking for a photographer to take pics of us- I am looking for a professional photographer to take us to the best photo op locations and make suggestions of specific camera settings to get incredible and memorable pictures.

Hello,
my name is Paolo and I am an Italian professional photographer. I regularly lead private photo workshops and tours in Italy, Venice and Tuscany included. My workshops are specifically designed for single participants or small groups of maximum three students, and they are intended for people who looks for intensive, full immersion courses. So everything is customizabile, such as the locations, dates, durations, etc.
You can have more information about my workshop on my websites:

If you are still looking for a workshop in Italy and you are interested in receiving more details, feel free to contact me here: [email protected]
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

What a wonderful idea for photography enthusiasts. Coming home from a trip with the knowledge of how to step away from Program (automatic) mode and take on the more creative, professional options a camera offers, is a life-changing experience. That's what I call a trip and a teacher you will NEVER forget.
There are a lot of camera owners who need an income, and many step into teaching to make extra money. Photography knowledge, technical expertise, and creativity comes in all shapes, sizes, and price-points.
Without a specific link to an image gallery or a bio page, I can't offer an opinion on anyone's tour. But I'd be wary of any "professional" who is willing to sell knowledge of the craft to a group as small as 1-3 persons for a mere 100€-per-hour. You can take cooking classes that cost much more.
For anyone more serious minded, I'd jump at the chance to spend a day or two with Paolo De Faveri in Venice.

Why not participate in photography tours? Aside from having a chance to visit the most incredible tourist spots in Europe, you will also discover different techniques from professional photographers themselves. You can go to the place that you want while learning new things. I found this link while browsing the Internet, and I think you can use this: http://www.apogeephoto.com/photography-tours.html . Hope this helps!
