Preliminary Planning: Corsica. Help

My DH and I have a chance to swap our house in Florida for a couple that has a vacation home in Corsica.
I have done a house swap before and I feel comfortable with that part of the arrangement.

I have been reading about Corsica and trying to decide how to get there. I will not do the exploring part of the trip until later. And since we have a house waiting I will not have to do that. We will rent a car.

So this is what I planned so far and maybe you can give me input.

The house is located very near to Porto Vecchio. It is only in studying maps that I really see how Italian the names are.

We will use miles on Delta and probably fly and stay the first half of June. I have checked availability but it is not too bad at that time. The restriction of the house swap was for June or September as I think they rent it out during July and August.

I am restricted to flying into CDG because I do not have quite enough miles to fly into Nice which was my first choice. I think I then will purchase a ticket on Easyjet. They fly CDG-AJA. The Ajaccio airport isn't too far from the house. I cannot check schedules quite yet but I don't think from what I read that if I get them early enough they shouldn't be unreasonable. I did check Kayak and other fares they are offering are about $400. I am hoping Easyjet will be less.

Because I don't feel comfortable with two different itineraries, I think I will purchase the insurance for Easyjet and hope for the best. Another possibility is to take the opportunity to visit in Paris for a couple of days because we are not restricted with a hotel reservation.

This is all that I have planned so far. It sounds good to me but maybe some of you might have better ideas.

Thanks
