Pre Xmas dublin, stokholm, or Oslo help

We are looking to go to either of these places the week before Xmas. The airfare is the same for all three. So all things being equal which one would you recommend. Thanks

Where in in each country were you thinking of?

Norway is very expensive, for food, and lodging. Sweden is slightly less expensive. Ireland is the least expensive of the three.
Depending on where you want to go you will almost certainly have snow in Norway or Sweden, very unlikely in Ireland. Both Scandinavian countries are likely to be cold, Ireland not so cold. Daylight is short in all three, at that time of the year, but of course more so in Norway and Sweden.

So it depends to a large extent on your budget for food and lodging, your desire for snow/cold/daylight and which towns/cities you were considering really.

Stockholm because it has more to do. Even the outdoor museum allows you to go inside the buildings. Just expect the daylight hours to be very limited, more so than in Montreal which is at the same latitude as Paris.

Dublin will have the mildest weather and has quite a bit to do/see - esp with day trips. Prices are moderate.

Stockholm has the most to see/do will be colder and more expensive.

Oslo IMHO has the least to do/see, is the most expensive and will be quite cold.

Have you looked at guidebooks for the various cities?

Book all restaurants in advance - it's the high season and they can book out very quickly. Pubs will be very, very busy.

There is little daylight so you may find driving difficult.

While not as cold, weather can be icy or even snowy. This can make transportation very tricky and you may have to allow a lot of extra time for your journeys.
