That is a long way---are you sure?
I show 15 hours by train with 2 connections. Not sure about air connections.
It is about 340 miles and a 9-10 hour drive on mostly toll roads. The problem driving would be cost of drop off in another country. Still, with 3 kids it would give you a chance to see a lot of fine places along the way if you want to take the time. Some of the regional airlines are showing a base fare of about $120 pp on that route.
Take a plane, Wizz Air has 3 flights a week between PRG and VCE. Taking a car would definitely be cheaper but if you buy the flight tickets in advance, it is not that bad. Did a quick search and it is €15-20 in January.
Thanks to all for your help, I am going to check Wizz air and see what I can come out with.
