Has anyone traveled by bus from Prague to Budapest? I went to Czech Transport.com and checked the time and price. The travel time is same and the price is 30 Euro cheaper by bus.
Also, does anyone know if Czech Transport has anything similar to the "Fortuna" ticket from the Hungarian Rail?
We will be staying about 3 days in Budapest and Vienna. Do you think is worth buying the Budapest Card and Vienna Card? Your experiences and input would be really appreciated.

there is also an overnight train between Prague and Buda - save on the cost of a hotel and travel at night thru unremarkable for the most part IMO scenery. Check www.seat61.com for answers to your questions - for descriptions of overnight trains check www.ricksteves.com or www.budgeteuropetravel.com.
Czech Railways I believe has a really cheap unlimited travel on local trains - dirt cheap I believe but I do not know the details just that some folks I know bought it and it was dirt cheap.
Thank you, we are staying at friends', so the night train would be an added cost.
czechtransport.com is for a private car service so you can't compare that cost to a public bus. Of course a bus will be cheaper. Transport.com is for trucking companies.
what I meant was czechtransport, com. And Adrienne could you tell me what bust will be cheaper? It takes same hours by train as by bust. And the why of the price difference was my question.
As I've already said above, czechtransport is not a train service - it's a private car.
PalenQ - we did the Metropol overnighter and it was just perfect!
