prague pension access to washing machine

I've done alot of research, looked at all prague rental agencies listed in this forum and elsewhere and can't find nice apartment with 2 bed/2 bath/shower and washer/dryer.The few that exist are booked and Nosticova is really expensive.does anyone know of a pension that provides access to washer/dryer (and maybe kitchen). staying for 7 nights so this becomes important.Thanks..

dunno, but as an alternative the lonely planet guidebook series is usually pretty good about giving addresses of self service laundramats - maybe even online.

There is a good laundromat near the Namesti Miru metro line. I've actually gone on the metro with duffel bags of laundry, because they have western style machines - fast! European ones are much slower. Most apts will have a washer, but no dryer.

Have you checked the above listings for places? They all offer 2 + 2 and at least a washer. There are also other self-service laundromats listed in the Prague Post, as well as places that will do it for you.

Look on www.marys.cz

Click on Pensions "more than 1000 CK". Or "More than $38", if you click on the currency convertor & change your currency to USD.

There are many nice pensions that have rooms, as well as apartments.

Pension 2000, Pension Merlin, Platan Pension... just click on the link for "More Information", and the types of rooms & prices will appear.

B35 has a wide variety of rooms, plus a KILLER penthouse apartment. Reasonable prices, also, and the owners look nice.

Good luck!

Good tip on checking the Post, amp, thanks. In three weeks leaving for 10 days in Prague, so I'll be checking the paper for laundries.
Also, staying at B35, so I'll report back on the place and whether the owners live up to their nice photo.

This may be of little help, but I did find via the internet some "luxury apartments" in Prague that were 2 bdrm, 2 bath, with washing machines and dryers. Photos of them looked very nice. Problem is, I can't tell you exactly on what websites I found them, because I did so many random searches through generic agencies. Except two addresses I wrote down are: Ostrovni Mezonet 21 and 22, and they were 129 and 139 EURO/night in June. Maybe you can track them down. Sorry I didn't keep all the details.

This is to amend my previous, rather vague, reply. I found an old e-mail from the agency who handles the apartments mentioned above:
Ondrej Opletal
Old Town Apartments
Phone +420 257 316 662
Fax +420 257 313 441
[email protected]

They had several to choose from. Good luck.

Back from early-May Prague trip which, among a great many other things, included a successful visit to a laundry. It was Laundryland at Londynska 71, about a block from the I.P. Pavlova metro stop in Vinohrady. Open 8 am-10 pm.

Cost about 240 czk (about US$9) to wash and dry two big loads. An attendant provided (well, sold) us scoops of detergent and operated the machines.

Bring a book; it took close to 2 hours from start to finish. But it also meant we could pack 1/2 the amount of clothing and travel lighter, so it was well worth it.

Laundryland also has internet, so you can check email, etc, while waiting for the laundry.. They will also do your laundry for you (at a much higher cost), and dry clean, as well. They have smaller places around town, where you can drop off your clothes to be done, and pick them up the next day.
