Prague Airport Shuttle

I have done a ton of research, spent hours, on ways to get from our hotel in Prague Center to the airport and have pretty much settled on the most economical for us is the shared van which will pick us up at the hotel. We don't want public transportation or taxi. I haven't been able to find any comments from Fodor's people about the company called Prague Airport Shuttle. Can anyone assure me that this is an OK outfit?
Thanks

I suggest you ask your hotel for their view of the company you're considering or their recommendation of another. Tell them the price quoted to you by Prague Airport Shuttle. The hotel will have experience with many guests needing to get to the airport and which companies have been reliable.

We just got back from Prague last week. We used http://www.mike-chauffeur.cz/ for both an airport transfer and for a full day trip from Vienna to Prague with a four hour stop in Cesky Krumlov.

Mike is an honest, friendly man who provides exceptional service at a fair price. Take a look at his website and get in touch with him. Highly recommended.

We also used Mike in 2008. We had them pick us up in Prague and drive us to Cesky Krumlov and back to Prague 2 days later. They were great. From our Prague hotel to the airport, we asked the hotel to arrange a taxi. It was just fine.

Go to tripadvisor'd Prague forum and text search Prague Airport Shuttle. It or a smilar name is often mentioned and sounds reliable.

I do NOT recommend Prague Airport Shuttle. Chris was supposed to pick us up from our hotel and take us to Prague Airport for our return flight to JFK, but never showed up. This was in July, 2004.

Chris will post here from time to time.

Thin, posting on Fodor's since 1999.

I have answered this on the TA forum but I have used http://www.prague-airport-shuttle.com/
on several occasions and have been very happy with them and I will be using them again in 2 weeks time.
Unclegus posting on Fodors since October 2008.
BTW 6 years is a long time to hold a grudge.

CAVEAT LECTOR: I am the owner of www.prague-airport-shuttle.com

Peggy, we are not a "shared" shuttle service so you would not want to use our service if that is what you are looking for.

Thin is very unhappy with us because we missed his pickup and rightfully so, I am afraid to say in almost 10 years of providing transfers in Prague we have made mistakes.

Here is a link to some TA posts about our service.

unclegus is correct - prague-airport-shuttle.COM is very reliable. I've only seen ONE complaint which is what 6 years old? and I think was explained by Chris,so please don't go about it ThisGurjus.

I used prague-airport-shuttle. They were late picking me up at the airport (about 30 minutes, if I recall correctly), but otherwise fine and friendly.

Chris, I am not unhappy, but I have been posting on this site for 10 years and most Fodorites look to me for travel advice.

I can't recommend your service as you failed me.

I don't have an axe to grind.

Wobbers, don't ever tell me what to post or not to post.

You are NOT a Fodor's editor; this site does not belong to you.

I have seen so many positive comments here and on Trip Advisor that we'll be choosing prague-airport-shuttle. Not worth a shared van to go around to other hotels. these sites are so great! I usually go with the majority of opinions. thanks for your opinions.
