Prague

I'll be there 6 full days. Don't want ossuary at kutna hora or terezin, done that elsewhere. Done castles thru Europe.. Do I need to take trip outside Prague or just enjoy the city in a relaxed style? Suggestions appreciated, I am truly on holiday alone Thx y'all

Why are you even going to Prague? Only you know why you picked it instead of somewhere else. If you don't think you'll have enough to do there that interests you, go somewhere else.

Me - I enjoyed just strolling around the city. It's a beautiful walking town with a nice feel - nice squares and bridges - but very touristy. For me, going "outside Prague" would defeat the whole point of going there.

this website gives you loads of ideas to keep you busy. try visiting some of the more outlying sights,Star Summer Palace,Stromovka park,Troja chateau.
find all the Kafka or David Cerney related places,do a world war II tour.Visit Ledice a 25 minute bus journey from the city.
I like visiting micro breweries and good pubs this link will give you info.

the actual beer gardens in pargue are a great place to relax and you don't have to be drinking beer. Letna park is my favourite and has great views over the city.

I did not need to venture out of Prague. Thoroughly enjoyed walking and seeing sights for 6 days. Soooo much to see, hear and do. Night concerts glorious. I could go back too. Highly recommend Dagmar with tours locals.com...she was delightful.

Just returned. Recommend getting a metro/bus/tram pass.

I used www.neweuropetors.eu which are free & have used in other cities w/good guides. Just tip guide at the end of the tour.

do visit the Astronomical Clock on the hour for the show in Old Town Square & walk the Charles Bridge early in the day before it gets too congested & pickpockets abound.

I also enjoyed staying in the city. Yes, there were a lot of OTHER visitors just like me and who cares? I found things to do such as the Loretto and viewing the "infant" (just one of many examples) in places that were not mobbed. I even enjoyed sitting in one of those covered restaurants near the Astrological Clock and having my silhouette cut out and offered to me.

Enjoy your time there and you'll find out why it is such a popular destination.

Hotel suggestions for November? Best area to stay for first time visitors? 4* or 5* accomdations, thinking rates will be good at that time of year - 100€ or so per night.
