Positano restaurant suggestions?

We'll be there for 3 nights, staying at Le Agavi. Can anyone recommend restaurants with excellent food and a good wine list? That takes priority over atmosphere, etc., and we really would hate to waste even one meal at a tourist trap. Thanks so much!

IL RITROVO and DONNA ROSA, both of which are in Montepertuso, a mountain village 15 minutes by car from Positano. Have the hotel call ahead. Both restaurants used to send cars to bring guests back and forth.

The restaurant La Sponda at Le Sirenuse meets your criteria. It also has great atmosphere and service as well.

We loved La Terraza (sp?) which is connected to a nightclub. You go down to the beach and follow the boardwald to the left (if you are facing the water.) The Restaurant literally hangs off the rocks and has a spectacular view and fabulous seafood. The only downside was that it was cold when we were there (last October) so there was a clear plastic canapy which obstructed the view.

My husband and I really enjoyed La Cambusa on the beach just above Chez Black. Since it's one level up, you have a clear view of the water, not of the tourists hovering for a table. Also, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We ate there many times during our 10-day stay - so much so that our favorite waiter, Luciano, would save a table for us beachside. A wonderful part of our trip. Ciao . . .

Thanks for the additional recommendations, Parker, La Cambusa sounds like a winner, any restaurant that you would return to multiple times with reasonable prices and a view sounds like one we should definitely try. Thanks.
