Positano Lodging Recommendations [Eastern Side]
in my personal opinion, within the town of positano, the east side has the most post-card-picture-perfect view. so, i am determined to find accommodation on that side of town. so far, my top choice is hotel california or albergo california @ €160/night. however, from the pictures i've seen, the rooms' balconies don't look big enough for reclining lounge chairs, only regular chairs. are there lounge chairs on the terrace, the same level as where breakfast is served? it would be nice if i come back with a nice tan.
can anyone recommend any other hotels on that side of town that have bigger balconies and a similar view? my max budget would be €200/per night. also, besides eden roc hotel, are there any other hotels on that side of town with nice pools? it seems like there aren't many hotels with pools in positano and the ones that are are really really expensive! via cristoforo colombo seems to be a good street to find lodging as it is not too high up from the beach below and the views from that level are ideal.
thanks!

Marincanto has a pool starting this year and a terrace with lounge chairs. Its standard rooms are just over your budget at 215 Euro, but I'm not sure they have any balconies at all.
You're hoping for champagne on a beer budget, but I don't think you'll find it in Positano.

I agree with Zerlina...you can pay more and get those things, but on a budget you might have to give up some luxury amenities. However, I am staying at Albergo California in June, and for the price, I think it's pretty, it's clean and it has a great view...and between the beaches, hikes, and boat trips that will be at your disposal, you'll still come back with a great tan!

zerlina: i had a feeling you would say that, but i had to ask anyway!
candilea: i agree... hotel california looks really beautiful and a good choice. i will most likely book a room there.
